about Krystal Linnea

Hello! it's me, Krystal.
I'm a Human Design guide, healer + mystic, published author, and mama of five.
My work is centered on self-empowerment and conscious relationships - because it can be a challenge to reclaim our sense of Self after the identity-altering thresholds of motherhood + evolving as mindful and sovereign beings.I've been studying Human Design for over a decade, and I'm certified as a Quantum Human Design Specialist. My not-so-distant ancestors are Hungarian, Romani, and German - and both sides of my family carry multiple psychic gifts.

my background:

B I R T H W O R KI've always been drawn to midwives and naturopaths instead of medical institutions. When I was still quite young, I insisted on having my first baby in a birthing center - and my 5th baby was freebirthed! Those experiences led me to support women for many years as a doula + birthkeeper - from scheduled Cesareans to freebirth at home, and everything in between.I wrote and illustrated a book called The Conscious Pregnancy Guidebook, and internationally-acclaimed midwife Robin Lim was gracious enough to review it! I've also been fortunate to work with many amazing mentors over the years, to include Dr. Elizabeth Carman, PhD, and elder midwife Whapio.Expecting? Postpartum? Just struggling as a mama?
>> I can relate - let's chat.

U N S C H O O L I N GI first heard of something called unschooling as a teen, disillusioned with my own education - and before I knew it, I was unschooling my own children. As my kids grew, I realized that the "child-led" philosophy (often synonymous with unschooling) had some gaps when it came to living and learning about responsibility, collaboration, and mutual respect.I coined the term relationship-based unschooling to describe our family's own take on parenting + education. We aim to honor our own natural limits, and prioritize meeting needs in ways that benefit each individual in our family - including the parents. No more martyr energy around parenting, please!
We can love and honour our kids without losing ourSelves in the process.
Get my evolving perspective on 20+ years of unschooling on my Substack blog.

Healing is your birthright as a human,
